Biography

Jack Shanahan is a New York City based Director of Photography trusted with bringing the stories and brands of an extensive list of multinational clients to life. An emerging filmmaker, his documentary work includes Brownsville Born (Producer/Cinematographer 2018); Rugby Boys of Memphis (cinematographer; official selection, Tribeca Film Festival 2017) and The Search for General Tso (additional cinematographer; official selection, Tribeca Film Festival 2014). Additionally, his short film, Here You Go (cinematographer, producer, 2012), was an official selection at the Cleveland International Film Festival and Soho International Film Festival, where it was nominated for Best Short. His work as a cinematographer on the mini series The Holdouts was an official selection at SeriesFest, 2017. Jack is inspired by film as a medium for cross-border communication and believes in its power as a catalyst for change.
